Barrier Plus is an epoxy-based zinc-rich primer. This product is a paint with a very high zinc powder content and high solids volume percentage, intended for severely corrosive environments. The high zinc powder content in Barrier Plus provides optimal corrosion protection when used as part of a complete coating system, in areas where a highly durable coating system is required. The product is ideal as a primer in atmospheric environments, and can be applied to carbon steel to repair inorganic zinc silicate coatings and to damaged galvanized steel substrates. Barrier Plus complies with ASTM D520 type II zinc powder standards and can be applied to surfaces with a temperature base of 0°C. Recommended for offshore environments, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings, general steel structures and pipelines exposed to corrosive environments up to C5 (ISO 12944-2). Barrier Plus shows extremely high performance in both internal adhesion/cohesion and antistatic force when compared to conventional zinc-rich epoxy paints.
